So far there are six historical romance books planned for the Regency Brides series each exploring the friendships, challenges and journey towards love and happiness by different members of two families – the Farringtons and the Longhursts.

Book one – The Untouchable Bride

Book two – The Pity Bride

Book four – The Challenging Bride

Book five – The Perfect Bride

About the author

Writing has always been a major part of April Shelley’s life. Taking inspiration from her own love of history, and work in the world of stately homes, museums and art galleries, the Regency Brides books are the first series of novels April has written.

Historical romance and the Regency  

Although at their heart the Regency Brides books are love stories and April hopes that readers will share the fun, the romance and tenderness her heroes and heroines find, the Regency Brides books also include themes which tackle some of the realities of the Regency period.

April continues to work on Book one – The Untouchable Bride whilst living  in England on the historic Wynyard estate, former seat of the Londonderrys, in the Tees Valley with her husband David, and their cocker spaniel Mia.
